Context Lens processes only the webpage text that the user actively selects, together with nearby context, page title,and page URL, in order to generate an explanation.

When the default Context Lens service is used, the selected text and related context are sent to the Context Lens API.
When the user configures their own LLM provider, the selected text and related context are sent directly from the
extension to the provider configured by the user.

User-provided API keys are stored only in the browser extension's local storage and are not sent to the Context Lens
server. Context Lens may record anonymous technical and interaction events, such as selection length, page origin,
request status, and request duration, for debugging and product improvement. These events do not include API keys.

Context Lens does not sell personal data.
