uwait is built to be privacy-first.

What uwait NEVER does:
- It never reads, stores, or transmits your prompts or the AI's answers.
- It never tracks your general browsing history.

What uwait collects, and why:
- Cited source domains: when an AI answer contains links, uwait extracts only the DOMAIN NAMES of cited sources (e.g. "lemonde.fr"), never page content, to fund those sources. (websiteContent)
- Ad interaction data: which AI service you are on, ad impressions/timing and the extension version, to credit your earnings and prevent fraud. (technicalAndInteraction)
- Optional interest analysis: only if you explicitly enable it in the popup, to show more relevant ads. Off by default and reversible at any time. (browsingActivity)

Account & payouts are handled on uwait.co. Data is sent only to uwait's own servers (api.uwait.co). We do not sell personal data.
