Unfortunately, the extension doesn't work.
If you want 100% functional integration between JDownloader and the browser (whichever it is), use the MyJDownloader extension that's available on the app's official website.

I've set autostart downloads on extension settings but it doesn't work.

Works fairly well but I had to fix a few annoyances myself to make it better.

* Leftover files in download folder when using interrupt mode:

Modify worker.js line 299 to be ` chrome.downloads.cancel(...) ` instead of ` chrome.downloads.pause(...) `

* Referrer sometimes not getting passed to JD correctly (I think it's just flash/add interface that was incorrect)

Modify worker.js line 66, replacing ` chrome.runtime.getURL('') ` with ` d.referrer || '' `

* Package name not using the one from packagizer

Comment/remove line 62 in worker.js

It add a notification, a pop up page and, stop the download with out it now. Very annoying, removed

It used to work flawlessly but I cannot disable autostart anymore and having trouble with packagizer when links are sent to jdownloader.
