YouTube used to throttle me terribly about a decade ago, and I started using various video downloaders so I could watch them later. I went so far as to install a Plex server on my computer so I could then watch them later, and a batch file to easily watch an delete them on the computer that I download them from.

YouTube no longer throttles me, but I have fallen in love with this easy ability to download, sort, watch, and delete the videos I want to watch on my schedule across multiple devices without dealing with the YouTube interface which - especially on Mobile and TV - is garbage.
